Welcome to Relish. Our vision for a new kind of pub
One that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but is serious about great food. One that represents the city and region it calls home. One that is a piece of your neighborhood.
Relish was started by four partners who have kitchens in their souls. The four met working in kitchens and, in the 6th year of business for Relish at Hornby & Nelson, are just as devoted now to their original passion for amazing food as they've ever been.
Chef Patchen Gallagher has joined the team and taken that passion to a new level and has created a fantastic yet unpretentious GastroPub menu.
Our goal is simple: to give Vancouver a place to relax, have a great time and enjoy great food.
Tobys Pub and Grill is an exciting, newly renovated 2-level pub, with an attached Cold Beer and Wine Store located on the Drive (Commercial Drive) in Vancouver. The design and atmosphere have been extensively researched to achieve a multi-faceted environment. If you want modern, cool and comfortable without pretension, this is the place to be!
We offer a great little patio fabulous for sipping margaritas in the sun, meeting the team after the game or after-work get togethers. Our patio is enclosed enough that the wind won't be a bother to you and if the evening is chilly, our heating system, combined with our patio fireplace will keep you cozy.
In 1995, when we first took hold of our historic Gastown brewpub location, we discovered that the building had a rare steam heat system. A remnant from forward thinkers of a century past.
Our brewmaster had only read of steam powered brewing, but had never seen a functional steam brewery. These are very rare indeed. We ventured forth, experimented, and created a one-of-a-kind steam generated brewery. The only one in Canada.
To our pleasure, we found our test brews to be distinctively fresh and flavourful.
For nearly 20 years, beer aficionados have been migrating to our Steamworks brewpub for a taste of these unconventional beers. Now, with the advent of our bottled beers, you can take the brewpub experience home with you.
What do we mean, "Modern Tavern"? - Well, we feel this term best sums up what we are trying to achieve here at the Alibi Room.
Since summer 2006, new owners Raya Audet & Nigel Springthorpe have been quietly turning the Alibi Room into the place for local craft beer on tap. We have become a true Free House, pouring guest beers from all over the province and beyond.
The addition of new head chef Greg Armstrong (formerly chef at Habit Lounge) has added an understated sophistication to our very accessible menu. The menu reflects a strong desire to provide familar, comforting dishes with an emphasis on quality ingredients.
All of our meat, fish & poultry are either sourced locally, ocean friendly, naturally raised or free run.
A big-hearted little neighbourhood pub with VERY cheap drink specials. Kitchen is open M->F 3:30 to 7pm. We've got 12 T.V.s to watch all the games... even the ones you don't get at home!!! Come sing karaoke twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and work your way through our huge song list, or show us your original stuff at Open Mic night every Wednesday night and at our Sunday Afternoon Jam. Parties and special events too!

Vancouver Pubs that are Editor-Approved and User-Voted
While the clubs and bars in Vancouver are always providing unforgettable entertainment until the early morning, there’s something to be said about spending an evening at a pub instead. Especially when the Canucks are playing. The unmistakable sound of a dimpled pint glass being slammed on the bar top, roaring laughter and conversation from every corner, and a large selection of craft beer being poured all night – this is the scene you’ll often find at a Vancouver pub.
Since there’s an overwhelming amount of taverns in the city, it can be daunting to scroll through a never-ending listing page. We understand that frustration, so we went in another direction. Every place that creates a profile on BLC is first editor-approved before its featured on the listing page to then be voted up or down by you. If you notice your favourite Vancouver pub isn’t already sitting comfortably in the top 10 listing then this is your chance to change that with a vote.

Situated in the heart of Kitsilano and established back in 1981
in what had previously been the local church, Darby's was one of
the first pubs in Kitsilano. Named after the owner Terry Lightheart's sheep dog, many feel that
Darby is still looking over the flock today.
