Emily began practicing yoga in year 2000. She completed her 500-hour yoga teaching certification in Vancouver, BC at Prana Yoga College, under the guidance of Shakti Mhi. Emily is a member of The Yoga Alliance (RYT 500) and also holds a first aid certification.
Emily teaches Classical Hatha Yoga, a traditional style of yoga with strong emphasis on safety, breathing and a meditative flow.
She is also a certified Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga teacher. Emily has always been fascinated by the body’s own amazing healing capabilities and incorporates these ideals into her teaching philosophies.

Her approach to yoga is a culmination of her personal yoga and meditation experiences, academic science background and ongoing professional dance involvement. She has had the opportunity to study with many amazing and inspiring teachers. Emily continues to participate in professional development workshops to expand her knowledge and capacity within her teaching.
