Where to Party After Toronto’s Cavalcade of Lights

The 46th annual Cavalcade of Lights is happening this Saturday at Nathan Philips Square starting at 7pm.

It’s Toronto’s official kickoff to the holiday season, featuring an insane lighting display including the lighting of the Christmas tree and fireworks show, plus live performances by Sean Jones, Alyssa Reid, Suzie McNeil and headliners Dragonette.

There are a whole bunch of events happening throughout the city afterwards too. The Cavalcade of Lights ends at about 11pm, so there’s still plenty of time to party.

Grammy-nominated rapper and former Little Brother member Phonte will be at the legendary El Mocambo.

More underground hip-hop will be happening inside the Opera House with CunninLynguists.

Rob Kardashian will be at This is London if you happen to care.

The Mod Club is celebrating its ten-year anniversary tomorrow night.

New Jersey pop punk band Man Overboard will be at Sneaky Dee’s along with locals Seaway and Like Pacific.

Philadelphia-based Sun Airway will be at Wrong Bar.

Juno Award-winning noise/metalcore band KEN mode will be tearing down the Annex Wreckroom, currently on a North American tour.

UFC 154 is happening in Montreal starting at 10pm and lots of kickass sports bars will be showing the fights. You might have to take off a bit early to grab a seat, though.
