Stop letting road rage get you down. Instead of breaking every five minutes on the highway, dust off your cruiser and get ready for Toronto Bike Month 2012. A multitude of events have been organized by the City of Toronto and Cycle Toronto to help encourage bike riding and its benefits.
Just ignore the lack of bike lanes and the very real possibility of dying while cycling downtown.
Starting from a Bike to Work Day in 1998, Toronto Bike Month has evolved into a cult takeover. So grab your bicycle bell tomorrow for Bells on Bloor or if you don’t own a bell, head to Scarborough for the Southwest Bike Rodeo. And end the weekend off with the Becel Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart to help raise funds for research.
Nothing quite like riding the DVP and Gardiner Expressway to really get your heart going. Just kidding, obviously the roads will be closed.
To start planning your bike month be sure to view the full calendar.
