If you’ve been waking up every morning to a tingling sensation coursing through your body (that isn’t related to taking a piss) that can only mean one thing – summer is coming and so is a huge street party. Anything can happen at this year’s Khatsahlano! Music & Art Festival taking place Saturday, July 13 at the beachfront neighborhood Kitsilano.
Close to 10 city blocks, from Burrard to Macdonald, is being shut down to host 50 amazing bands at the biggest street festival in Vancouver. Organizers have just released the official 2013 lineup that’s curated by Zulu Records and include performances by Gold & Youth, Blind Horses, The Pack A.D., Rick Hope, Portage & Main, Koban, Twin River, and so much more.
The festival is also featuring art installations, vendor markets, food carts, prize giveaways, street performances, and so much more. Produced and organized by West 4th Avenue, Arrival Agency, Zulu Records, and Brand Live, the 2012 Khatsahlano! Music & Art Festival is completely free and is taking place from 11am – 9m on the streets.
