The Vancouver Fringe Festival is well underway and there are only five days left to catch more than 600 performances by 89 artists. It can feel so overwhelming and impossible that skipping the whole thing and taking advantage of the St. Ambroise Fringe Bar sounds more appealing. However, the Pick of the Fringe may be the next best alternative to viewing the most-loved shows of the festival.
Every performance during Fringe is rated by audience members and later tallied up by organizers. That determines the shortlist and is then passed on to the festival’s illustrious judges to finalize which top shows are to return. So if you find yourself feeling too lazy to research and attend any or all productions then just wait until September 18 – 29 for the Pick of the Fringe.
Tickets to all shows are only $25 and go on sale at the box office on September 15. A portion of all proceeds is to also go toward supporting the festival. The final shows selected will be announced on September 15 at the Fringe Awards Night and updated on the official website shortly afterward.
