It’s pretty well official that anything Jennifer Aniston does someone else is bound to eventually copy. Case in point – just months after it was announced that Aniston is becoming co-owner of hair care company Living Proof, Katie Holmes is all like, “I’m going to jump on that bandwagon too” and is announcing her co-owner partnership with Alterna Profession Haircare.
But Katie your hair has never inspired an entire nation so exactly why the hell are you doing this? Whatever, her and her mousy brown locks are getting paid and there’s nothing wrong with that. Anyway, rising from the ashes of her fake marriage to Tom Cruise, Holmes is to star in the upcoming advertising campaign and according to Fashion Magazine, “is providing input and insight on products and brand initiatives.”
She’s a momma, friend of Victoria Beckham, is the first celebrity spokesperson for Bobbi Brown cosmetics, and an entrepreneur. Get it girl.
In an interview with WWD, Holmes gave praise to the company’s use of eco-friendly ingredients and the lack of such harsh chemicals as parabens and sulfate. Whereas for Alterna the partnership made perfect sense since Holmes is all girl-next-door and relatable to their audience.
Currently Alterna hair care products are sold at select salons and Sephora. The advertising campaign featuring Katie Holmes should be hitting magazines in spring 2013 – so keep those eyes posted.
