Celebrities Nightclub Shuts Down for Renos

Last night was the official Renovation Party at Celebrities Nightclub, which is shutting down for a bit to undergo some major remodeling.

It was the one last hurrah for Vancouver’s top LGBT club for an undisclosed amount of time, with renovations beginning today.

But don’t worry, this isn’t the end of Celebrities’ legendary Famous Tuesday night event. It will be held at Celebrities’ sister club VENUE (881 Granville St.) until it reopens.

Celebrities has been the premier LGTB club and a staple of Vancouver nightlife since 1980, now receiving the complete renovation it deserves while remaining true to the heart and soul that has made it so popular.

Upgrades will include a redesign by BOX Interior Design, brand new sound system from Funktion 1, improved lighting, aesthetics, and a special surprise being kept a secret until the grand reopening.

Celebrities co-owner Alvaro Prol assures weekly club nights will remain the same in the future as well as host the same local and international DJ talents that has included the likes of Tiesto, Skrillex and David Guetta in the past.

Still no word on when, exactly, Celebrities will reopen but we’ll keep you posted.
