Bars province wide are hurting for business and are asking help from local strippers to bring in business, according to a new article in The Province.
Local watering holes are experiencing lower sales than ever and are doing whatever is necessary to bring in customers including hiring pole dancers to boost sales.
It seems to be working at some bars employing the strategy including Ma Miller’s Pub in Langford. It’s the first time the pub, which was established in 1864, has employed adult entertainment like this. Club 241 in Nanaimo is doing it as well.
Several other spots in and around Vancouver have started as well including bars in Nanoose Bay and Chilliwack.
Employing strippers in what used to be your standard dive bar hasn’t gone without complaint by some booty-bashing residents who want things back to normal, or by local strip joints that don’t appreciate the competition.
