The 11th annual Art Tattoo Montreal is happening this weekend inside the historic Windsor Station.
Over 150 artists from around the world will be under one roof from Friday to Sunday including a shit ton of local artists from some of the most popular tattoo shops in Montreal. The convention features onsite tattooing, contests, seminars, vendors, and pretty much anything to do with body art.
It's the perfect opportunity to meet artists, check out portfolios and get new ink on the spot. If you’re looking to get tattooed by a particular artist at the show, organizers suggest contacting him or her in advance to book an appointment during the weekend. Some do take appointments while others are strictly first-come, first-served. Here’s more information on how to book an Art Tattoo Montreal appointment.
There will be the annual Tattoo of the Day contest with one winner on each day of the convention. And for the first time ever, Art Tattoo Montreal will host the Skull Project on Sunday afternoon. All artists are welcome to participate by tattooing any representation of the skull – one of the most common symbols in tattoo art. Check here for more information on both competitions.
Artists aside, there will be lots of other vendors onsite to promote all things body mod-related including jewelry, tattoo equipment, inks, clothing, literature, plus a designated cash bar/lounge area for dranks n' snacks.
Art Tattoo Montreal tickets will be available at the door only. No advance tickets will be sold.
